ACE Corporation started as a summer job idea for three college friends during the winter of 2000. With little more than $200 in the bank, University of Maine alumnus Eric Vogell led the charge. Driving neighborhood to neighborhood, the group recorded the addresses of homes that needed paint work and mailed the owners a flier. In the spring of 2001 they secured their first contract and eventually would land enough work to last the summer. In fact, it wasn’t long before they needed to hire more help…

Years passed and the group moved their venture from the residential to the commercial paint market as opportunities presented themselves. Behind Eric, ACE would officially incorporate in 2003. By 2005, ACE had installed over 150,000 gallons of paint across Maine with over 250,000 man hours worked, all without a recordable safety incident. By this time, ACE had developed its current reputation of completing projects professionally, on time, on budget, and most importantly without sacrificing safety.

Today, ACE Corporation employs upwards of 50 employees year round and performs
various coatings and wallcovering work throughout northern New England. A dynamic, growing, employees-first company, the future is bright for ACE Corporation.
