ACE Painting was created with a paintbrush and a dream amongst 3 college students. Established in 2001, ACE Painting has grown into the largest commercial painting company in New England. Currently working on all-size projects in Maine.
Responsibilities
Performing support duties to assist journeyman painters and other apprentices. Prepares surfaces and applies paints and other coating materials to a variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. The use of scaffolding, ladders, staging, and scissor/boom lifts at various heights is required.
Knowledge
- Work safely and comply with all OSHA and company guidelines
- Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
- Work while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Learn how to safely operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods.
- Adapt to changing working conditions
- Perform heavy physical labor and manual dexterity, including bending, crawling, kneeling, stooping, climbing, twisting, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 75lbs.
- Bend, crawl, walk, kneel, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
- Work as a self-motivated team player
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Have reliable transportation to and from the Job Site. (Be able to commute within 60 miles from your home residence.)
- 2-year commitment with 288 hours of classroom instruction per year.
- Must be at least 17 years old
